International Influence
Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas was established in 2011. Kori Blacker Tafoya always aspired to be a restaurateur, with years of experience in wine sales, restaurant management and service. David Joudi of Riverside Liquors was looking to open a second retail store at the beaches. They focused on providing unmatched customer service and expertise in the wine industry while seeking to create a community that brings people together. Inspired by European travel they sought to create an atmosphere which provides a transcendent experience. This would not be possible without a talented chef to make their dreams a reality. In 2011 Chef Chris Robert joined their team.
Chef Chris Roberts
Chris is a classically trained chef with several years’ experience in the culinary arts. During his studies, he focused on the nuances of both French and classic American cuisine. He is a firm believer of sourcing locally and working closely with other small farmers who share in his passion to deliver only the best quality ingredients to their customers. This ensures fresh and flavorful dishes coming from the kitchen to the table.
Raised in New Mexico, Chris immerses himself in preparing very flavorful southwestern and southern cuisine. He is also an avid baker. His creativity and menu diversity have grown and continues to grow with Royal Palm’s concept.

Invested In Our Community
Kori and David are focused on creating a business that gives back to the community. Invested in local agriculture, their number one priority is to support local farmers. Economic and agricultural growth is a small part of why they choose to work with small Floridian businesses. In addition, Royal Palm regularly hosts and donates to charities and organizations; including, the Child Cancer Fund, MS Society, Chemo Noir, and The Donna Foundation.
