Cellar Vall LLach Wine Dinner 2.25.26

February 25 @ 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

An Exclusive Evening with Celler Vall Llach scheduled for Wednesday, February 25th at Royal Palm!  Advance reservations will be required. (see legible menu below)  Call for your reservation 904.372.0052

Our one-of-a-kind wine dinner, featuring winemaker of Celler Vall Llach, Albert Costa, the evening pairs a multi-course menu with expressive, mineral-driven wines that reflect the rugged beauty and heritage of Porrera.  Each course has been designed to complement the character and depth of the wines, creating a dining experience that is refined, unhurried, and deeply memorable.

Celler Vall Llach’s vineyards are planted almost entirely on the classic Priorat soil called llicorella — a term local to Catalonia for the region’s distinctive slate-rich earth. This soil formed from ancient metamorphic processes — essentially sea-bed sediments uplifted and fractured over millions of years.

Note from Kori:  I’m so excited to share news of a very special upcoming wine dinner at Royal Palm on February 25, one that is incredibly near and dear to my heart.

This past harvest, I had the extraordinary opportunity to be invited to work at Celler Vall Llach during the 2025 harvest in Porrera, Priorat, Spain. The owner and winemaker, Albert, whom I worked alongside throughout my time there, will be joining us here in Jacksonville to share not only his wines, but the remarkable story of this historic region.

There truly are no words to fully capture what a dream it was to spend a week harvesting at Celler Vall Llach. Each morning began with hand-harvesting in the steep, breathtaking vineyards surrounding the beautiful village of Porrera. After unforgettable lunches, we returned to the winery to help wherever needed — from grape sorting to punch-downs — and even harvesting stunning vegetables from Albert and his family’s personal garden.

Albert left a lasting impression with his humility, generosity, and warmth. Working alongside his tight-knit team of farmers and two incredible cellar hands, I was welcomed with open arms and made to feel like part of the family.

I came away with far more than hands-on winemaking experience. I gained a deeper understanding of Priorat’s rich history, its unique sense of place, and a firsthand look at the region’s exciting vision for the future.

The wines of Celler Vall Llach are truly something special, and I cannot wait to share both these extraordinary wines and this unforgettable experience with you. I hope you’ll join us for an evening of incredible food, exceptional wines, and stories straight from the vineyards of Porrera.
